Unlike most industry awards, The Drum Chip Shop Awards invite agencies, professionals and students to push creative boundaries where they otherwise would tread lightly, or not tread at all. The Awards celebrate pure, unadulterated campaigns on an even playing field – whether completely faux or a piece of work that never ran – and recognise submissions that permeate holistic creativity.
To say the world is your oyster with this Awards show would be an understatement, and we couldn’t feel prouder to have won a Vinegar, highly commended award under the Best Charity Category following the 2020 finalist announcement.
As with everything we do, the thinking behind our submission to the Chip Shop Awards was driven by purpose. Our submission to the Best Charity category imagined a world without Cushelle’s beloved mascot Kenny Koala, following on from the Australian bushfires disaster which resulted in 1.2 billion native species perishing earlier this year. To support the rejuvenation of Kenny’s home down under, our submission proposed for Cushelle to donate all proceeds from ‘Spend a Penny to Save Kenny’ toilet products to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Check out our winning submission here.
Any wild and whacky suggestions for next year’s submission? Drop us a note, we’re all ears!
