Taking Purpose Outside: KWT Supports Queens Botanical Garden

In the second year of our Purpose Program, staff from KWT Global’s New York office volunteered at Queens Botanical Garden, a 39-acre urban oasis in Flushing, one of New York City’s must bustling and diverse neighborhoods. As a host to the NYC Compost Project, QBG plays an important role in helping reduce waste, rebuilding New York City soils, and promoting sustainable choices.

On a very windy day in October, our team provided valuable help preparing the area around QBG’s farm for the winter season. Working alongside the Farm & Compost and Horticulture teams, we raked and seeded for grass and cleared brush at tree lines. If you visit QBG come the spring, you’ll see the results of our team’s hard work: healthy trees, plants and grass that bring new, natural beauty and life to the garden.

With purpose engrained in our everyday at KWT Global, our support of QBG puts it into practice, giving back to the people, plants and community at the center of the garden’s mission. Click here to learn more about Queens Botanical Garden and its volunteer opportunities.
