KWT Global was selected by Cirque du Soleil Creactive to launch its immersive family fun centre opening at Vaughan Mills in November 2019. The agency also promoted Tran Nguyen to Managing Director of the Toronto office and further expanded its senior staff with the hire of Vanessa Foy as Account Director.
KWT Global’s Toronto office will support the grand opening phase of Cirque du Soleil Creactive, a distinctly new concept for the Cirque du Soleil brand, which the agency has worked with since 2012, and most recently on its current touring shows Alegria, Corteo and Crystal. Cirque du Soleil Creactive will be an experiential, immersive and interactive destination designed to allow the young and the young at heart to put themselves in the shoes of a Cirque du Soleil artist. The massive 24,000 sq. ft. entertainment acro-plex will be the first of its kind in the world for Cirque du Soleil.
Following the acquisition of Holmes PR in the fall of 2018, the agency has continued to diversify its portfolio with new account wins including the pop-up phenomenon HAPPY PLACE, CNE Foundation, The Royal Academy of Dance’s 2019 Genée International Ballet Competition, as well as Canadian support for Amway Artistry.
Nguyen, who will now oversee KWT Global’s Toronto operations, joined the agency as part of the senior leadership team at Holmes PR, and brings more than a decade of media relations experience developing award-winning campaigns and managing event execution. Nguyen has also supported some of Canada’s most high-profile entertainment productions such as the iHeartRadio MMVAs and The JUNO Awards as well as managing programs for the Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto International Boat Show, Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame and Hisense Canada.

Vanessa Foy joined KWT Global from Ketchum with more than 10 years of experience in public relations working with a diverse range of clients across the corporate, consumer and entertainment sectors. Following stints with Ketchum Toronto and Holmes PR, Foy will lead a portfolio of KWT Global accounts, including American Express Global Business Travel and Cirque du Soleil.
